2022 Sexton Hall Remodel and Singspiration
After the completion of Rhoades Hall for student use, the Sexton Hall library building became the next academic building slotted for changes. The exterior is being redesigned to resemble that of Rhoades Hall and the D. R. Kaufman Memorial Building. In addition, the interior will be remodeled over the summer to allow for an extension to the library. Many people have already labored extensively to see this project progress, and we are grateful for their time and ability.

Also, we recently held our annual Singspiration event in the D. R. Kaufman Memorial building. Around 430 people attended the event and enjoyed the talented and God-honoring music of various young people and families. We appreciate those who spent hours of preparation to minister to our hearts with song, and we especially thank the Quales for coordinating the music. Thank the Lord for the ability to gather together as a community of believers and think on all that God has done for us and all that He will continue to do! As a special treat, the event was sponsored by Allegheny Wesleyan Youth In Missions. Rev. Benjamin Blowers and Rev. Gabriel Clyde spoke to the young people about the wonderful possibility of experiencing a mission field to gain a better vision for God’s plan of redemption. After the program was finished, everyone enjoyed refreshments sold by class organizations and the newly established Daily Grind, and the young people threw themselves into the following volleyball and basketball games! Thank you for your support and prayers for AWC, where we are endeavoring to prepare young people for Christian ministry wherever God may lead them.

2022 ABHE Convention

We are grateful for accreditation with the Association of Biblical Higher Education. This February, we sent a representative team for the annual ABHE Convention in Florida. Jeanne Zvaritch, Katrina Kaufman, Katie Marsh, and Crystal Whitham attended the convention on behalf of AWC and professional academic development. Both Jeanne Zvaritch and Katrina Kaufman received the Executive Leadership Training Certification. The Lord has blessed us with a talented team of staff and faculty dedicated to equipping young people for service. Keep us in your prayers as we endeavor to show young people that the best way to live is “Where God is First.”
2022 Housing Remodeling
Because of monetary support, we have been able to approach the goal of remodeling staff and faculty housing that has been on campus for many years. This semester the Zvaritch home is being remodeled. At this point, the interior has been gutted, and new studs have been put in place. Thank you to all the maintenance and construction workers who are working hard to help the project flow smoothly! AWC is grateful to all who contribute in some form to help the Lord’s work continue. Much exists behind the scenes in the operation of training young people, and those who make all this happen are deeply appreciated!

2022 Winter Revival
Praise the Lord for the leadings of the Spirit during our Winter Revival! We were blessed by the ministry of the Rev. Joshua Davis family as God clearly spoke through His servants every service. As the Spirit led unerring, many victories were won, and new light was obtained. In fact, God is continuing to shed His light on our lives. In Hebrews 11:6, the Bible tells that God “is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” We saw clear evidence of this throughout the week with obedient and determined hearts, and we also recognized that God’s anointing was upon the services as a result of the preceding prayer for revival. Prayer, diligent prayer, is a necessity if we are to see God work the way He desires. God kept His promise for us, and we are so thankful for His sweet presence. We thank the Davises for obeying God and delivering His truth through, song, testimony, and preaching. We are looking to Him, “the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2), and we are trusting Him to work His perfect will in us. All praise be to God.

2022 Spring Semester Begins
The Spring 2022 Semester has begun! Our students have returned with life and energy to a somewhat changed campus. Sexton Hall is undergoing some renovations to accommodate for a library expansion, and the newly remodeled Rhoades Hall is currently in use. Rhoades Hall has four classrooms, one of which is a new piano lab for piano practice and lessons. The Student Success Center is also located in Rhoades Hall, and Professor Forrider, the General Education Department Chair, is there throughout the day to help students with any academic needs. The main entrance of Rhoades Hall opens into the Student Center with a functional coffee shop, The Daily Grind. Here, students can study in a relaxed setting geared for social collaboration and activity. Our students have already been putting this building to good use during this first week of school, and the improvements in Rhoades Hall will aid AWC in training students to fulfill God’s purpose for their lives. With God’s blessings in mind, we are anticipating spiritual, social, and academic growth in this semester, for we know that God has good plans for His people. As we continue to covet His presence in our midst, we can be assured that we will have His help and leadership for 2022.

2021 Christmas Program
The annual AWC Fall Choir Tour was an excitement for the campus body. The students were thrilled to sing the Christmas story to the surrounding churches of the tour. Truly the message of Jesus’ birth is a tremendous account worth shouting for the world to hear. What a treasure to realize that although Christ came around 2,000 years ago in human flesh to live and die our Savior, His abiding presence as Emmanuel can be sensed in our hearts today! The campus is alive with Christmas decorations and last-minute classwork, but in the midst of all the season’s busyness entails, God’s nearness is noticeable. The students are excited about the upcoming AWC Christmas Program, the concluding event of the Fall 2021 Semester. God has been good to us! Glory to the Newborn King!

2021 Thanksgiving Banquet
The Thanksgiving Banquet, hosted by the Class of 2024, was a wonderful occasion to think on God’s material and spiritual blessing throughout the previous year, and the kitchen staff provided a beautiful Thanksgiving dinner. The Lord has graciously supplied for our every need on campus and has blessed us beyond imagination in the various projects like the Clock Tower, the David L. Gallit Memorial Park, and renovation of Rhoades Hall. Beyond these blessings, God has made Himself manifest on campus through godly teachers and staff, as well as in the weekly chapel services and prayer meeting. Without God, our endeavors to train young people for His service would be in vain. The social and academic environment of AWC cannot be effective without God’s spiritual help.
This Thanksgiving, many funded scholarships were given to students who needed help paying their bills for the fall or coming spring semester. Our students are grateful for this form of provision that enables them to focus upon their studies and afford their education. God provides for every need of His children. Thank the Lord for what He has done and is going to do!

2021 Pavilion Dedication
The pavilion project has been completed, and the donor, Dr. David Gallit arrived on campus for the dedication ceremony. He spoke in the AWC chapel about some of his experiences in the Christian academy that was originally held on the same grounds as AWC. He emphasized the immense privilege of having a Christian education and environment in a rapidly deteriorating world. After the chapel service, all present, including staff, faculty, students, and some of those involved with its construction proceeded to the pavilion, where the official dedication ceremony was held. Along with the pavilion, Dr. Gallit provided the fencing and bleachers for the ball field. The David L. Gallit Memorial Park will serve as a wonderful blessing in the years to come as students and college workers alike utilize it for God-honoring recreation. This blessing is another example of how God is working at AWC and is showing His care for His children.
