Students who pay for semester costs in full at the time of registration receive a 2% discount on charges for tuition, room, and board. Fees are not included in the discount.
Any portion of a second grant/scholarship or award from Allegheny Wesleyan College funds (based on financial need) may require a student to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
If students qualify:
Pell Grants — $555-$5,550 (1/2 each semester)
Direct Loans (Freshman) — $3,500 (1/2 each semester)
AWC Work Scholarships — $7.70 per hour
The Subsidized Federal Stafford Loans, Unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loans, and Federal PLUS Loans are available to students unable to meet their financial obligations through other sources.
Several scholarships are available to aid in financial obligations (Campus Employment/College Work Study, Presidential Scholarship, Public Relations Scholarship, Ministry in Music, Missionary Kids in College, Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Youth Scholarship, C. R. McPherson Memorial Scholarship (for seniors), T. A. Robertson Memorial Scholarship (for seniors), Rev. and Mrs. Stanley Kendall Memorial Scholarship (for freshmen or sophomores), Forrest and Naomi Plowman Memorial Scholarship, Alumni Scholarship (graduates from Salem Bible College or Allegheny Wesleyan College who want to take a refresher course), Christian Worker Scholarship (Christian workers—50% discount on tuition), Pastor Scholarship (full-time AWMC pastors may take on class tuition free per school year), High School Scholarship (high school juniors or seniors may take one class per semester, tuition-free; fees may apply), Summer Camp Scholarship (assisting at various youth camps, representing the college, will enable a student to receive compensation that will be applied to the applicant’s school bill over two semesters – half each semester), Recruitment Scholarship (if a student directly encourages a new student to attend Allegheny Wesleyan College, $200.00 will be applied to his/her school bill; the new student must complete one full semester before the award will be applied).
